STEM Day, hosted by Vertiv, is an impactful initiative designed to inspire children by introducing them to the diverse opportunities within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In collaboration with the Columbus Crew, this event provides a hands-on, educational experience that encourages students to explore potential careers and innovations in these fields.
Every year, we’re excited to partner with the Columbus Crew as both Vertiv and Crew representatives lead students through a series of interactive STEM activities. Participants have the opportunity to explore different stations, such as a behind-the-scenes look at how the Crew captures and analyzes player statistics, a coding workshop led by COSI, and an exclusive tour of Vertiv’s customer experience center, which features a fully operational data center inside the stadium.
In addition to offering educational experiences, Vertiv plays a crucial role in powering the Columbus Crew’s operations. As The Official Data Center Equipment Provider of The Columbus Crew, Vertiv delivers the critical infrastructure that supports the stadium’s network, including in-game experiences like the scoreboard, digital signage, and point-of-sale systems. Vertiv’s comprehensive solution also extends to the club’s office and administrative IT systems. By supplying essential infrastructure components—racks, UPS systems, thermal management solutions, and monitoring tools from our Liebert®, Avocent®, and Geist™ brands—Vertiv ensures seamless, reliable performance on game day and beyond.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome over 80 students at Lower.com Field for an immersive learning experience. Our commitment to fostering the next generation of STEM leaders and strengthening our ties to the Central Ohio community continues through our partnership with the Columbus Crew.
Join Vertiv in shaping the future of STEM and powering the technologies that bring game day to life!
